YYoga is holding its annual warehouse sale on July 25 and 26, 29 and 30 at YYoga’s head office on West 2nd Avenue in Vancouver. Some of the brands included Tonic, Om Girl, Karma, Prana, ALO, Elroy, Fluxus & Spiritual Gangster. Besides yoga and lifestyle clothes, there were also a selection of jewellery, shoes, books, CD’s, and accessories.
Everything was deeply discounted; I snagged a cool leather cuff which was originally $65 and was now 70% off. I love the look and feel of cuffs rather than bracelets, and the leather will only improve over time as it develops a coveted patina.

Gravity Pope is having its periodic outlet sale from July 26 to 28 at 24 West 7th Avenue in Vancouver. I dropped by after work on the 26th and found a short line-up outside, apparently the shortest it had been all day. It was a pressure cooker inside, packed with racks of shoes, clothes and customers. I took a quick survey of the size 7 shoes and found a surprising number of big name designers like Emilio Pucci, Steve Madden, and Michael Kors. Although most were at least 50% off, the prices were still out of my bargain hunting range. A peach strappy sandal by Cacharel caught my eye – it was regularly priced at $599 and was now reduced to $199.99.

It’s not too late to hit up the Nicole Bridger sale today. In the past, we’ve seen items marked down to the $20 range. Now that’s impressive for a warehouse sale, not to mention for a local, eco-conscious designer.
